IT Risk Management and Assurance

At 360 Assurance we know that Information Technology (IT) is a fundamental factor in delivering business success. The absence of adequate IT risk management and governance can result in serious and major problems within an organisation. High profile risks such as information loss, unavailability of services, malicious attack, and unauthorised disclosures are increasingly a critical threat to any business. Often resulting in reputational damage, regulatory sanction, and/or an adverse impact on customer confidence, these can be extremely costly.

Through our tailored IT risk management and assurance service, 360 Assurance can help organisations to ensure that the risk of such adverse events is minimised. Our clients can be assured that their IT strategy is aligned with their organisational objectives, that it delivers value, and is efficient and compliant with legislation.

Our multi-disciplinary teams have extensive skills and experience in all areas of IT risk, from assessing strategic assurance frameworks to technical penetration testing. We are experienced in delivering technical security and penetration testing to a wide range of organisations, with a focus on firewalls, wireless networks and websites. We have reviewed a range of areas including data leakage risks, mobile/tablet security, shared networks, and remote access products. We also offer tailored solutions that cover a multitude of aspects which are designed to meet our client’s needs.

Our computer forensic services have supported high profile disciplinary and criminal investigations where digital information needs to be acquired, analysed and presented in a structured and compliant manner. A recent example is an investigation initiated by the GMC into the conduct of a senior clinician employed at an NHS organisation. We used a variety of our forensic tools to acquire digital evidence from desktop computers, laptops and internet logs and this information subsequently became a core component of the investigation.

‘Many thanks for all your assistance with this case to date. Your input has been most helpful and I have been hugely impressed both by the thoroughness of your investigation and your ability to explain all the “IT stuff” to me in plain English.’
