360 Assurance wins Award for Innovation & Excellence in Public Service Audit

We are delighted to announce that 360 Assurance has won CIPFA’s 2015 Award for Innovation and Excellence in Public Service Audit in recognition of its work supporting NHS clinical commissioning groups.
The award acknowledged the work undertaken by the Commissioner Services Team in supporting CCGs in the development of their governance arrangements, using work undertaken within internal audit plans to provide benchmarking information, best practice papers and the facilitation of workshops and networking opportunities.

Commenting on the award, Tim Crowley, chair of CIPFA’s audit panel said “The entry from 360 Assurance stood out from the start for its excellent and innovative approach in supporting CCGs at the highest level so that new governance arrangements are clear, well-understood and fully reflect good governance principles and practices. The method that 360 Assurance has developed also has a high level of transferability within the NHS, but also in other areas of the public sector…………….”

The Cliff Nicholson Trophy was presented to 360 Director Tim Thomas, Deputy Director Annette Tudor and Assistant Director Kevin Watkins by CIPFA president Mike Owen.

Tim Thomas said that as a CIPFA member, he was well aware of the history of the award and was thrilled to be the recipient for 2015. “‘The work the judges assessed followed a complete reorganisation of 360’s business model, the innovation and endeavour of 360 staff and the support of our clients. Confirmation of our work by our peers in the form of this prestigious award is something we value highly.”
