TIAN NED Event - What does good assurance look like?

This focused 90-minute virtual event will give NHS Non-Executive Directors practical insight into how they can test whether the assurances presented to Boards and committees are reliable, proportionate and supported by evidence. Drawing on specialist perspectives across maternity, cyber security and AI governance, and risk management, the session will explore what effective assurance looks like in several of the NHS’s most significant and rapidly evolving risk areas. Attendees will gain useful questions and approaches to support constructive challenge, identify potential gaps or over-reliance on process-based assurance, and strengthen their contribution to Board oversight, organisational learning and patient safety.
