A number of guidance documents have been produced by the NHS Counter Fraud Authority, covering the different types of fraud most commonly experienced by NHS organisations. These provide a framework for the NHS to deal with fraud at both a national and a local level and may be used to develop or adapt local policies, procedures and systems.
