Quality Assurance Forum – Prof Jane Reid Speaking
360 Assurance run and facilitate a Quality Assurance Forum for representatives from NHS providers across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. The forum has been running since February 2012 and speakers have included representatives from: the CQC, the GGI, Keogh review team, CQC specialist advisors, as well as Sir Stephen Moss. In April 2014 we welcome Professor Jane Reid. Jane is an independent consultant and advocate for the Clinical Human Factors Group (http://chfg.org/). The Human Factors in Healthcare Concordat published by the National Quality Board (18th Nov 2013) demonstrates the commitment to embedding a recognition and understanding of Human Factors across the NHS, reflecting the value it can offer in respect of improving the quality and productivity of health services. The concordat has been signed by NHS England, GMC, NMC, NICE and the CQC amongst others and the profile of Human Factors practices and principles is certainly increasing. Jane’s current portfolio includes Researcher Queen Mary, University of London, Nurse Advisor DH Human Factors Reference Group, Non-Executive Director Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Visiting Professor Bournemouth University. Jane will be talking about human factors in healthcare. If you would like further information about the forum, please contact Elaine Dower (0115 8835313 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
